Using the Merge Reports

You can generate a merge report for a preliminary or certified import. This report is not applicable, however, for a supplemental import since the supplemental import file does not contain data for an entire year.

There are two merge reports:

Merge report 1 compares, by state code, the totals for the imported year to totals for the prior year.

Merge report 2 compares, by state code, totals for the imported year to the totals in PACS.

The reports reflect current values in PACS, not the values as of the time of the import. Both reports reflect more value than what was imported because all properties in a state code are included (not just the properties that were imported).

State codes that have a value of CONVERSION in the Description column of the State Codes tool (Tools > Code file Maintenance > General > State Codes) have been mapped to a corresponding PTD code.

Caution Caution Icon It is important to complete this mapping because state codes that do not have a corresponding PTD code cause data to be omitted from the merge reports.

  1. In PACS Appraisal, choose File > Import > Mineral/Personal Property.

The Mineral Import List is displayed.

  2. Right click the merged run and then choose Merge Report.

The Mineral Import Merge Reports dialog box is displayed.

  3. Select either merge report 1 or 2.
  4. Select the entities to include in the merge report.
  5. Click either Preview or Print to view the merge report.
