Running the 11.145/11.146 Process

Use this procedure to code properties with the EX366 exemption as described in Section 11.145/11.146 of the Texas Property Tax Code.

When you run this process, PACS identifies all business personal property and mineral accounts and exempts those that have a TAXABLE value of $500 or less in value per owner per entity. This process was changed in 2016 to use Taxable Value instead of MARKET Value and if a property has a Taxable Value for that owner for that entity, it will be coded with EX366.

  1. In PACS Appraisal, choose Activities > Appraisal Notices > 11.145-11.146 Process.
  2. You are prompted to confirm that you want to run the process, which may take several minutes. Click Yes. A message is displayed indicating that the system is running the process.
  3. After the process is complete, you are prompted to acknowledge that the process has finished without errors. Click OK.

The personal and mineral properties that meet the criteria under Section 11.145/11.46 of the Texas Property Tax Code are coded as exempt with the exemption code EX366.

Next Steps: Reviewing Properties Coded with EX366

Currently, PACS does not have a report that lists properties coded with EX366, but your CAD can run the Exemption Listing By Year By Type By Entity Code monitor to generate such a list. The monitor has three variables that you provide: the year, the type of exemption, and the entity code. If this monitor is not on your system, please contact Harris Govern Support to have it added.
